A Corner for Servane Gaxotte....

I laid my eyes on  Servane Gaxotte 's  necklaces for almost 2 or 3 years by now. It always has been a pleasure every time  I saw them.   I admire Servane Gazotte's delicate work on both the dollies or animals  figures, and especially adore those cute dresses and tutu skirts that she dressed on them. I bet you cannot help but swooning over those dangling little things once you see them! Speaking of dedicated works, parenting counts one of them. The new school year just started and I finally had kids' everyday  activity down on schedule. From Piano, tennis, gymnastics, ballet/tap dance, art, vocal, Chinese school..... you name it, we parents let kids explore them all until they find one as their passion. Hopefully, they can be persistent of what they picked and possibly be as good as a profession.  "in" shirt with color blocking (Taiwan brand), Celine red pants, Hermes Croc. belt, Charlotte Olympia cat face black pump, Herm...

Current Obsession - Pile pieces up look!

Peplum is big this fall and I always love the look of a cinched waist look. It not only adds feminine touch to a plain outfit but also divulge a casual sexiness out of a woman.  I had this Comme de Garcon blouse since this spring.  I absolutely adore its pristine and crisp white peplum cutting, and the extravagant sleeves. Regretfully I didn't get its matching bottom half in Taipei while I had the chance but guess I will just do layering and pile whatever pieces I picked from my closet for a personalized me look.  Here is the previous post  and another look  that you can see the slightly peplum on this white blouse better. As for Comme des Garcons A/W 2012 looks, they reminds me the cutout fabric I did with my son for his "Flat Stanley" school project. Suffice to say, we only have to meet one criteria: The clothes somewhat has to reflect old Chinese society and it doesn't have to be 3 dimensional.  COMME des Garcons A/W 2012...

Vroom again tis' Fall 2012!

As we gradually step into fall, I was thinking that I can do a wardrobe interlude at this fabulous time of the year. The easy breeze, the milder sun and the lovely holidays are all approaching soon ( I live in California in case you don't know. ) and I am having a superb mood to do a closet cleaning as well.  Isn't it fun when you dug out some unloved clothes and give them a possible face-lift with your creativity? As far as the new 2012 f/w collection is concerned, I have just enough time to go through fall/winter fashion trends before I stack my wardrobe for more.  And if you followed Prada runway last season, you would have agreed with me that Vroom Vroom flame prints on its s/s collection is so covetable and so fun. Cars worn on sexy models on the runway, wouldn't every man go crazy about them both!! (ha~) Yet I didn't have the guts to buy any as I was afraid it is not going to last till next season.  However, as a staunch devotee to high fashion, ...

Street Style in Taipei.

Sorry that I am lack of updating my blog in this back-home to Taipei trip. However, I can assure you that once I am back next Thur. I will be updating my blogs in daily basis, just like I used to be. ^O^ I didn't pack much with me in this trip as I know I can find a lot of nice Taiwanese designers' pieces in Taipei.  I am so happy that there are more and more promising designers who have their collections designed locally and made locally in TAIWAN. As I said, one of the big thing when I travel is : "Buy locally" which in my case of traveling is also "Buy globally".  Stripped Bustier top, Dexter Wang (Taiwanese designer) Sheer cover-up, H&M past season pants, sequined flats  "Quin" studs necklace  IN (Taiwan brand) checkered long loose top, ombre' white/green maxi dress, Missoni for Converse with Joey Found hand-embellished studs/crystals, Hermes Picotin  Enjoy buying local and wear them globally.  xoxo Rachel
