Healthy Skin, the first impression of how you show off your beauty statement.

Halloween is approaching fast which means our season is changing and it also means time to feed your skin and keep up its moisture. Drinking lots of water keeps the skin hydrated and most important thing is that water is a natural detoxing agent, it helps you cleanse and purify your body while you sweat it out. Besides water, make sure you apply (and reapply) your sunblocks all year round especially in the winter. Sleep well, eat whole and raw food such as cucumber, blueberry, parsley, kale, banana....etc. are definitely a year round feed-your-body-well ritual for all of us. Last month, I received Tatcha's new product: Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen. I am telling you, the moment I received their heart-warming box, not only it reminds me to continue pampering my skin but also demonstrate how serious Tatcha treats their product and their customers. I patiently give it a try for a month and finally I can share this NOT-a-SECRET and wonderful beauty product with you.

How refreshing to see this bamboo box filled with all the goodies inside.

 Ooh la la~

My skin are thin and slightly sensitive so I always on the lookout for a nature but effective sunblocks. Tatcha's Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen offers SPF35 broad spectrum protection which contains Japanese Wild Rose ( I am a sucker for all rose products from rose water to rose blended perfume candles..), Licorice, Silk and Loquat Leaf extracts. This sunblocks smells heavenly and since I am not a no-scent-means-nature-ingredient person, this slightly scented sunblock wins my heart already. Reading their booklet about this product, it claims to reduce the appearance of pores and smoothes skin for a glowing complexion. I would say I am satisfied with the silky smooth touch after applying the sunblock but since I don't have large pores to begin with, I can't really tell how much my pores are diminished afterward. ha~ thanks to a healthy life style that I drink in moderation and keep up 7 hours sleep while I can. One more thing I like about Tatcha' Silken sunscreen is lightweight that I still can apply my B.B. Cream or foundation on top of it without caking up my face. I am not a big fan of all the heavily contouring which swamped over the Internet. Moderation is everything.

Last but not the least, Silken has additional antioxidant ingredient so while you bask in the sun you know you are in good hand with additional pamper from HADASEI-3 bioactive complex in Tatcha's sunscreen.  Love it ~

No sticky sunblocks but all the incredible feelings after you apply it on your skin.

Me and my gf both love Tatcha product

Give it a try and you will appreciate another awesome product in your skin regime.
xoxo Rachel

How Life is ... How You Respond to it?

After almost a year and a half hiatus, I am back writing my blogs again. There are a lot of memorable activities that happened and I recently moved to another house, which I can say without a doubt, is my dream house. It has a nice swimming pool, great landscapes, and a media room in the basement. I always feel unsettled at first when I move into a new place but once I have a vision of how I can make it my home, I'd start the remodel right away. You do everything you can to make yourself "comfortable" in every circumstance, right?
I am here at Reno now. Not for skiing, not for gambling, but for my girl's volleyball tournament. A lot of you didn't know I have a daughter who's going to be 13 this year and I am so proud of her unique talents. What do we call them?  iGeneration. The most precious years of their life: teenage years. They are mostly on their own, developing their personality, their existence, and identifying their self-worth. All we paren…

A Fashion and Gastronomy trip in NEW YORK CITY

I am back from big apple, New York city. I have to say for anyone who loves fashion will love New York city.  My friend and I enjoyed this grand New York fashion and gastronomy trip every minute and every bite.

I probably will do a proper annotation for each pictures but let's just have those pictures up for now.

This sweater from Emporio Armani is love at first sight. All the green, navy and purple and the asymmetrical cut of boatneck make this sweater extraordinary.

From Nice to Monte Carlo to Cannes by Car.

(Couple wording revised)

Hubby and I always enjoy driving in between small cities or big cities or any town in Europe. We never get cold feet even people comment about how difficult or troublesome or scary to drive in Europe. As a matter of fact, my kind of driving is like people in Europe, fast, precise and always look "forward" to the destination - so I enjoy NO speed limit( Actually after I post this blog, the taxi driver in Paris told us that now they do have speed limit in Paris and there are a lot of hidden cameras. )  Ouch~~

The tip of driving in Europe is you always need two kinds of maps, one is printed map while your the other map, electronic one fails. If you plan to stay longer than a week and you would like to visit some other towns near by, it would come in handy to have an Internet service on your phone.  Thus, you can always upload a Google map, or whatever map to guide you through the cities.  There are local phone service and you can ask about their rate of …
