Cozy summer!

I didn't update much nor write on my blog as diligent as I used to be. However, I assure you that my fashion sense isn't getting sluggish nor being out-dated at all.  It's just we bought a new apartment in the SF city and I am so busy in decorating it. You must agree with me how fun it is, right?  But when t oday I was up in our unit trying to put up this gorgeous chandelier with the aid of our contractor,  I can't tell you how many obstacles we ran into during the time of installation. Oh, well, but we managed it well and get it done by the end of the day.  Hooray~~    Speaking of trotting around in the city, you should know that it is always a good idea to bring an extra coat or something warm with you. The temperature varies dramatically from day to night in San Francisco.  I know couple friends of mine are visiting the city during summer time.  I am here to remind myself bringing extra jackets for my kids while we enjoy a city retrea...

Lots of private sales, oh, well, lots of tempting sales during holiday season I should say. However, there aren't much for me to shop except for Christmas gifts. Better yet, I ask my friends to wait and see if I can find something special for them in our Europe trip during Christmas and New year.  But it really won't hurt to just try them on!! { I am walking and meditating at the same time in my 6 inches Charlotte Olympia cat's face wedge pump in the city and if I were not concentrating, I might fall!! Ha ~ }  Majestic long tee, Haider Ackermann oversized shirt, Kapital black shirt/jacket with attached scarf, vintage leather pencil mini skirt (bought in Rome), opening ceremony lace legging, Chanel pearl necklace, Hermes horn necklace, Tom Bin safety pin necklace, Hermes orange bracelet, Chanel 226 black reissue Tomorrow is the last day of school... yeah~~ Let the holiday season begins! xoxo Rachel

Happy Halloween 2011!!

I think I am/we are done this year's Halloween!! We went up to California of Science Museum last Sat. with friends and had an awesome Halloween evening there. Here are some highlights from the evening.  I am suppose to be a tulip goddess but then I turned out to look like Russian Babushka doll with pieces I put together from my wardrobe. {I guess it is a good thing that I didn't spend a dime for my costume.} The lashes are long and curly which I bought at Rite aid and they are meant to be the look for Vampire's mistress.  I attach Shu Uemura colored lashes at bottom eyeliner.  Me and my Ilona, Princess Cinderella.  Little Justin Bieber  Wizard of the Oz family! complimentary drinks.  My Russian  Babushka  doll look.  Aqua by Aqua (link here)  coral orange bodysuit, pink tulip shaped bubbly skirt, mustard yellow tights, Alaia gold wrap heels, Anthropologie bib necklace as embellished apron, ...

Fun in SF City + French Soul Food Restaurant!

Peilly and I stopped by LF store on Union St . yesterday. We think it is the best place to shop for trendy and hip stuff AND relatively cheaper deals. Although their price isn't as cheap as we expected, now they have everything 60% off, it is a great chance to hunt something before your mind is all set for fall. {You know, when my mood is not yet set for upcoming fall, I'd look everything in darker color  just plain wired on me....but once I start shopping for fall, I couldn't wait to strut new stuff on the street.}   " State of mind" is interesting, isn't it!!  This gorgeous This and That mixed wool cropped cape/poncho is from Anthropologie .  My Outfit Du Jour  All cheap knick-knacks, including that 15 years old G-shock watch.  1. Top: Mara Hoffman pleated front spaghetti strap camisole  Kay Park tuxedo long blazer with cut-off shoulder 2. Bottom:  Theory (thrifted) sequined mini skirt 3. Accessory: J C...

MV [Fun in the Sun - by Tony Lindsay] ... Is that me in it???

This is a music video for Tony Lindsay called "Fun in the Sun." Tony has been singing at many different venues throughout the world predominantly as the lead singer with Carlos Santana's band for more than 20 years.  The cameras used were Canon 60D, T2i, and an HVX. Fun In the Sun - Tony Lindsay  from  Charles Lee  on  Vimeo . I happen to have the honor to be part of this MV which shoot by the students at Expression College for their clients. The Whole experience of indoor green screen and outdoor shooting at Ferry Building in SF is just wonderful. Who could tell the weather was raining, overcast and a bit hazy 20 mins before we started the shooting! God's blessing! Let's enjoy the MV and give them a round of applause for their amazing work on animation! Last, big hugs goes to Lauren Patterson, Charles Lee, Andrew Bauer xoxo Rachel

Modern Stuff

I bought this Espresso stove-top dripper in Rome during last London and Italy trip last year. I never had the time to try it out or I should say I never thought it would be so quick to drip a cup of Espresso. How quick? Quicker than I finish texting several sentences of this exciting experience on FB this morning.  This is single cup Espresso and they are available for dripping dual cups of Espresso at the same time.  Brand new installed hardwood floor and new paint on kitchen cabinet.  {I am glad we did it during our trip in Taipei...yeah...} Our house is brighter than ever, thanks to the white cabinets and big windows in the kitchen and family room.  I am a habitue of both the city of San Francisco and its surrounding museums. lol. Hubby and I appreciated the fact that there are plenty of places for family to visit during the weekdays or even the weekends in USA. The least hubby could stand staying in Taipei is that everywhere is so crowded especially durin...
