Everyone must have more than couple different shapes, colors, cut, fabric...of pants to meet every occasion. I have a thing w/ blazers and jackets these days and I have a nostalgic feeling w/ my Homme Agnes' b metallic sheen pants too.
I had altered my Pierre Balmain jacket to a cropped one as skirt suit don't fit in my life style now. Also, this pair of pants is a normal cut of men's suit pants. I love the color and precised tailor look so I bought it. I only wear it like once every year and still cannot think of a reason to get rid of it!! Yes, only wear once a year is such a waste as I think I could wear it more often. I hate that I have clothes just sitting in my closet and I don't know how can I maximize wearing it. Therefore, I had it altered to be a cropped and 3/4 length cuffed slim pants. It looks alive on me again and I think I can wear it more than just once every season.
1. TOP:
3. Shoes: Jean-Mitchel Cabazat metallic purple w/ 2 buckles heels/sandal
4. Chanel 08 Star brooch
5. Elfi designer necklace
6. Lanvin Leopard Happy sac
7. My creation of earrings from two different ones
Yes, cropped pants like this sophisticated look definitely need a pair of heels to compliment
See, you can save a lot if you just think of something to improvise from your wardrobe, you will be surprised.
I think leopard Lanvin happy sac will jazz up my understated ensemble

I love your outfit, especially your necklace! Does your friend elfie have a store? I am thinking about going there when I visit my in-laws in Saratoga in mid-feb. The necklace you are wearing is very Marni, which I am kind of obsessed with lately. I love how you tailored your pants and jacket to make them look so alive again! It's time for me to dig my wardrobe to see what I can do, hehe... Oh, your Lanvin leopard print bag is cute, I am thinking about getting a leopard print scarf or flats, which one do you think I should get?
Ever since I saw Izybeli's way of wearing her Chanel pearl necklace and pin, I've been wanting to try that look with my brooches and necklaces as well! It's so wonderful how we inspire each other that way.
Your version of it looks very chic and fun. I had thought that Elfie only makes pearl necklaces. I totally missed her booth at the arts and crafts show a while back b/c I couldn't go.
Bravo on the "rebirth" of you Agnes b pants. I'm usually too chicken to do something drastic to my wardrobe. Do you have a good tailor to recommend? I know having a good tailor is extremely valuable.
Your kids are always super cute with their poses.
Betsy (shoogrrl)
haha... yes, this necklace must be bling bling enough (not crystals though) cause' I got couple compliments in the morning at Los Alto's shops and my friends at kids bBday party and from the SAs in NM in the afternoon ...well, maybe SAs just want to start a conversation w/ me so I would buy something ...haha... JK!!
I will find Elfi's website and post it here ASAP. I think she might be in her hometown in Austria at this moment. .... I left message in her home but have not got hold of her!! Elfi doesn't have her own store since this is a part-time designer job for her. She is a licensed interior designer and she can get some discounts from show room or order something which is not open to public wholesale!!
However, in Saratoga downtown, there is a gallery shop sells her jewelries too. I forgot the name and had to find it out as well.
When are you coming here in Bay area??
Thanks for dropping by here...o.w. I felt so lonely talking to myself...haha.....
First of all, we mommies want to ask Sara about starting a new music class...and how old is your kid?? Maybe you can join us this time. Well, nothing is settled yet as I have not got back from the teacher, Sara, either.
I will let you know if Elfi has another show party in the future. I know 2 tailors, one is in Los Gatoes and the other one is in Mountain view. My friend, Cathy, had 4 of her clothes altered at mountain view and she recommends me that tailor. However I have not tried that one.
Yes, now my kids they are just too mischievous to stand still when taking pic. hah...
Thanks for your email reply. I'll be waiting for further info.
I read in the Chanel thread that you are looking at Oliver's People sunglasses. I just wanted to add my 0.02 cents in recommending Barton Perriera, a brand that is started by people who use to be with Oliver's People. The NM SA told me that the quality is superb b/c their designers or founders or someone has optometry background so they take that into consideration for their designs. Basically, it's not only for fashion and trend, but it's quality and worksmanship too.
Anyway... off my soapbox now.
Thanks for letting me share.
it's been awhile on tPF since you replied but i hope you remember me! :) i don't remember where i found my icon (a very long time ago) of the "sleeping baby" but i have a lil collection of cute icons! is there any animal/style you want? i can help you look! :)

Hello, La Van:
I just left message and I didn't seem to see where you mentioned that art on Ice being performed?? Or maybe I should go back and read it again. haha...
