Man's trousers!

Shopping at Men's department is not new thing, but It might become a trend. I already have a pair of trousers which I bought from Men's department like 15 years ago. The style doesn't change much (now you know how slowly Man's fashion evolving. lol) except I tailored it as tapered and shorter to ankle length. It is still being loved by me as its unique fabric has a beautiful gray and blue sheen on it.  Now I have another pair of man's wool, gray trousers. Gray, such a classic color. I love how it sits on my lower waist and drop-crotch look. Just slightly slouchy which gives a laid-back but not an impression that I am wearing an ill-fitted pants.  As I get witted while I am getting older, I found myself enjoy a classic decadent style more. Such as simple black and white outfit with intricate prints peeking out from the lining, all black outfit with leopard patterns sparingly on either top or bottom.  Or like today's outfit, a nice silk shirt pai...

The Super Make-Over Looks from Past Seasons.

I did a face-lift for those past-season pieces, as a matter of fact, I only paired them in whole new different ways for a fresher look. The reason is I know my closet is full and I really need to be very selective when buying new pieces from now on. With the crazy Black Friday Sales going on, I figured that I better inject myself with some hot and trendy looks before I head out.  This way, I won't end up buying things that I might already have but just simply fall into the trap that I want something newer while trotting around in the city. ^O^ Don't you think it is a pretty good mind-setting strategy??!!  Celine leather biker jacket green 2012, Charlotte Olympia venetian mask suede/leather heels  Cotelac Mongolia sheep fur, Charlotte Olympia suede venetian mask heels Have fun on the holiday weekend.  xoxo Rachel

Sense of Life.

Kids are so true to their emotions. Ilona makes everyone laugh when she is happy and we would cry for help when she becomes grumpy. At the end, she is still a happy girl.  I am not sure where she gets the idea that carries a stick (umbrella) and walks laboriously is acting like an old woman. She is such a doll, so hilarious. As opposite to her, I sure am trying every possible way I can to stay young and fight the nature of aging. lol... Color Crush for Marni 2012

One thing I especially love about Marni's collection is the colors in every look are always vibrant every season.  This year, the luxe. fur, the yellow patent leather, the oriental brocade are making me want to venture to south pole already just so I can embrace myself in some warm clothes sooner.  Marni edition 2011 printed top, Marni 2010 pants, Dries Von Noten 2012 runway coat, Marni 2012 suede plateform, Hermes Picotin  Carven jacket 2012, Alexander Wang striped tank, Cotelac (link here) pin stripped shorts, Givenchy kitten heel sandals, Hermes Picotin  Those pictures were taken when we strolled at Filoli Garden before the Taiwan trip. Now I am currently traveling in Taipei and the weather is actually not as hot as we expected. Thanks to the rain that cools down the temperature.  ^O^ xoxo Rachel

Runway and Myway!!

I finally laid my hands on this spring/summer 201 Dries Van Noten's fuchsia coat. I love the casual and slightly linear shape of its cutting and especially the pop color.  Ah, I also notice I wear flats more often compares to last year.  Well, it's good for my back and my body alignment anyway.   NOTE: SHOPBOP $100 GC giveaway ends at 6/5.   You still have time, enter yourself and try your summer luck! 2012 spring/summer Dries Van Noten  Dries Van Noten printed blouse, Dries Van Noten fuchsia coat, Cote`lac pin stripes shorts, Valentino 50th anniversary Garavani pantent leather rockstud loafer, Chanel matte black 226 reissue    Rest well! xoxo Rachel

All about Shorts.

As usual, we stayed in the city last Memorial Day weekend. What's not usual to me is I don't have a whole wardrobe there in our apartment and I would panic. I don't think I like the slightest doubt of  what if ... what if  a key piece is missing or not available to complete my look while the stay in the city. Oh, man, .. no ~~ :P  Wear the same outfit??  Heck, no way, neither~ But I guess it is pretty silly to pack 3 ensembles with me to flaunt in the city just over the weekend. So what I did is I grabbed my shorts, blazer and couple freshly shipped denim shirt and tights from Shopbop this time.  You know what, I must come up a better packing strategy in the future. I kept that Zara printed blue shirt/jacket away from me in the apartment in the city. Mentally, I guess I felt that shirt served me well and I have no problem to part it away in the future.  NOTE: Please enter yourself to SHOPBOP $100 giveaway. (ends June 5th)  Shine d...
