Randomly Get away!

What's the best advantage of being a stay-home-mom?
Time is all yours if you manage it well. On the contrary, time is all wasted if you didn't manage it well.

What's the pro of having friends who doesn't shop for fashion?
So you don't end of spending money and thinking of doing price adjustment everyday!!! lol
NO. I was just kidding.

All kids need our attention, education and dedication, and beyond fashion, we have to remind ourselves constantly what's our greatest duty to be a good mom.

These two days, my little daughter
is so happy that she has all my attention. Yesterday my friends and I enjoyed a nice coffee break together w/ kids.

OMG, I think I need to stop doing all these facial expression....my wrinkles!!!! Oh, Cathy, what are you doing w/ taking all those pic. of me talking!!!!??? lol

The Herve Lerger high waist pants is so body flatter.

Today,
my girl friend and I took ferry at Ferry Building in SF city for a little get away! The weather in SF city is sunny and warm and I had to shed off my leather jacket even on the ferry.

We need to validate the parking tickets w/ a proven purchases. So my friend and I enjoyed a cup of coffee made from Blue Bottle in ferry building before we took off. I personally think their coffee tastes even purer/stronger than Peet's coffee!!

There are so many cute shops in ferry building from restaurants, little farmer's market where you can get some fresh fruits, coffee shops, bread stand, cheese shop where you can also enjoy some wine when having cheese. ..etc. Here I just to name a few.

Ferry building is like a small global village where you see so many people who comes from different works of life, and countries. They come here for dinning n' snacking for a little break from their work or life.

haha...I like cold weather so I can do layering which I do best.

Kids are waiting for sandwiches which we will enjoy
on the ferry.

We took the ferry across the sea to the city called Luxspur!! We didn't have much time to explore the city and all we did is walk n' walk n' walk...so that's just say we all had a great exercise today!! haa....

Neon Mood!!

Just when the weather gets so hot and I am ready to rock my neon outfits...the weather suddenly changed. However, I am still in a mood wearing something very bright then I found this neon pink skinny jeans from Levis which I bought during the trip down to L.A. I bought total of 3 bright jeans, they are blue, coral and neon pink. They are super comfortable.

Now looking at my pic. I can't justify if the jeans are actually cropped or it is just my legs are being too long for it. hah....

My ODJ.

1. TOP:
  • Cashmere coral/yellow tank w/ one shoulder ribbon
  • Tsesay cashmere baby pink cardigan w/ zipper

2. Bottom: Levis neon pink jeans w/ side ankle zipper
3. Shoes: Diesel gladiator heels
4. Chanel Coral Valentine's medium flap
5. Chanel 09 s/s pink camellia w/ tear drop pearl earrings

I think I am going to buy lots of similar colors outfits in the future....so I can do as many layering as possible for fun!!!!

Now I am up to find a pair of pink heels or gold wedges. lol

New: Valentino Side Bow Sling Back Heels!

So, again, couple of my friends bought Valentino heels during the promotion. All of us got 25% off for the heels. No matter it is a pair of sling backs or pumps, basically, we all love its side bow and patent texture of it.

It seems that we friends tend to appreciate each other's taste more and more these day. But does it mean now we know how to choose stuff w/ better style and quality after friends' approval? hahah...I don't know!! Maybe!!!

The color is called MUD but in fact, is a dark shade of taupe!

Platform style of sling back w/ beautiful wooden heels.

My ODJ!

1. TOP:
  • Max&Co. gray w/ ribbon trim and knot blouse
  • Trina Turk haltered vest
  • Mcginn cropped blazer
2. Bottom: TSE high waist/ankle pants
3. Chanel matte white reissue 227
4. Vintage Designer Vera ladybug scarf in Gray

I want to find a wider and longer purple satin ribbon using as a belt for this pants in the future.

Somehow I think my sunglasses matches the color of this Valentino Heels.

Neon Green Tank, Stella McCartney for Adidas !!!

I came across this neon green tank from Adidas last weekend when shopping w/ my DH. As a matter of fact, it is him who is looking for a sporty jacket and I was sneaky thinking of finding a top to match my other Stella McCartney cropped pants I bought like 3 years ago. The SA in Adidas gave us a $15 off coupon when spending over $90 so it is a perfect excuse to get something for me w/ the instant rebate.

Again, Irene and I also bought this pair of pants from InterMix when we were in Vegas. Neither of us wore the pants yet as we are still looking for the perfect match for it. However, when I bought the neon green tank, I thought they will be a great pair. So, here we go!!!

My ODJ!!

1. TOP:
  • Stella McCartney for Adidas tank top (the back has very sexy/breathable design for running)
  • Elethbeth & James white blazer
2. Bottom: IRO light gray pants w/ fold over waist and strap
3. Bag: Balenciaga violet part-time bag
4. Chanel 09 multiple pearls w/ rhinestone and CC logo w/ crystals necklace
5. Chanel two tone pumps

I love the whole attitude of the look....hee....

Finally I have a neon green colored outfit!!

I might need to find another pair of heels to go w/ the look...but I guess this Chanel pump is good enough so far!!

hah....love the wind!!

Same pants, Same Sunglasses, and Identical looks!!!

Is it just a coincidence that friends will end up buying the same thing when go shopping together or is it a truth that friends who have similar taste will get along better too?

I would say either and both. These days, I went shopping w/ my friend, Irene, a lot. Since our Vegas trip, everything we love is almost the same design, look, color....etc. and people even start asking us "are we sisters?" Of course, it is an honor to both of us since we are great friends, and I like some good qualities found in Irene too.

This Chloe sunglasses is the first same thing we bought
together. After that, we bought same couple more things and we two start wondering that maybe we should just share w/ each other and buy more other things we both love. lol However, we also have distinctive tastes from each other and we always wear the same thing w/ different style .

MY ODJ.

Please let me know if you are bored w/ my Zara striped blazer already!! :P Even thought I am doing my best to recycle my every clothes but I know enough is enough!!!! hehe......

1. TOP:
  • Laura Moshi zebra tank
  • Zara blazer
  • Elizabethan & James long tuxedo vest
2. Bottom: Ksubi spray on skinny jeans
3. Balenciaga violet part-time bag
4. Chloe wide frame sunglasses
5. Shoes: Diesel gladiator heels
6. Chanel 07 resin earrings
7. Chanel 08 pink crystals, charm brooch

My original look before heading out. .....then I found out the proportion is not perfect and seems something is missing to complete the look.

Then I found my new black tuxedo vest is perfect to elongate the visual effect.

Am I the only one wearing long vest over a blazer???? haha....

Irene and I had same sunglasses on today. And we also bought the same pants again from Herve Leger.

Chanel Two Layered & Two Toned Stockings.

I bought this pair of Chanel hosiery in Vegas. They come in two different shades. One is black and black w/ upper thigh slightly opaque compared to the part at the calf. Another design is black w/ slightly pink tone at calf which is the one I bought.

They are about $225 or $250 and is the most expensive "hosiery" I ever spent on. My girl friends all worried that I am not going to get a lot wear out of them. They think eventually I will snag a hole of this Chanel hosiery. I told them, even one day I did snag them, I will poke more holes or tears to make them look like a pair of distressed stockings on me. haha....... However, surprisingly, when I put this Chanel hosiery on w/ my nails clinching couple times, the hosiery seems strong enough to resist the dragging from my nail.

There are actually 2 layers of this stockings and that's why it is so durable compared to most fancy hosiery. Chanel made inseam at the back from the part of the butt all the way down to the toes which also results in a clean look around the toes. Therefore, you basically can wear this pair of stockings w/ all kinds of heels and not to worry about a thread showing.

All in all, I think the money I spent is totally worth it. Besides, I can't be happier w/ a cute CC logo showing off at left side of my ankle.

The calf part is pink or nude.

I feel it is not trouble at to align the lines in the back, they are automatically align by themselves. I just have to adjust them a little.

Perfectly to go w/ my Chanel camellia sling back heels.

It's like wearing leggings w/ toes.

I, in fact, took kids to SF city again this morning.

We girls get back together this afternoon for taking all our kids to the park.

Those are just a small group of super moms I know!!

4/13 (Mon.) Last Day At Vegas w/ Girl Friends!!!

We actually booked to see "Kai" show but somehow we canceled it due to the ticket price. We could have made it to the show if we didn't spend so much time shopping, walking, and clubbing. We didn't regret it though, maybe next year we could squeeze some time to see a show when we visited Vegas again.

In fact, we girls are talking about Europe trip in the future and guessing what our husbands would say about it if we asked. lol

Our suite room is quite big but we never had chance to sit at the living room. The bathroom and the beds are the only two places we ever touched. Today we had nothing planned except for visiting Barnes New York (again), Chloe boutique (Palazzo Hotel), and shops at Caesar Place Hotel. Thus, we took last couple pic. together in our room before we check out. Time sure flies fast, it is already the last day in Vegas.

Bye bye Venetian, bye bye Vegas!!

I guess everyone has one or two sequins top or dress or even shorts and skirt!!!

Cathy's matching orange/brown tone sequins vest w/ checkered shirt!

On me: Elle moss tiered top; Zara shorts; Elizabeth & James black long vest; wool hat and TOD's flat

This is such an unforgettable trip for all of us.

I love Irene's 3.1 Phillip Lim bib tank w/ ivory bow top.

Pei and Cathy bought a pair of Marni sunglasses at Barnes New York. Both are on sale for only $159, it is a steal!!!

Me and Irene bought the same pair of Chloe sunglasses in Chloe boutique. We ask boutique to match the price of Barnes New York since there are $30 difference. haha.....

I love how this retro look of Chloe sunglasses add an uber-chic attitude to our look.

It looks not bad at all on Cathy too.

At noon, we had lunch at Dal Toro Ristorante inside Palazzo Hotel.
We also have a 20%off coupon w/ it so we thought it is great chance to give it a try. It is just coincident that we dined twice at restaurants inside Palazzo Hotel. However, I have to say, they really aren't bad at all. We enjoyed the Japanese food the day before and I love the thin crusted Prosciutto pizza very much too. We girls have been walking for a while so we are starving by the time we found the restaurant. We asked our waiter give us some bread frist. They serve very tasty handmade dipping sauce of mashed anchovy, whole olive, parsley, extra virgin olive oil to go w/ the bread. And I always give a restaurant extra points if they serve fresh and warm bread.

Their Latte is good too.

Cathy's new acquisition of Marni sunglasses and Chanel CC reversible necklace.

We are in front of Anthropologie which is inside of Caesar Palace Hotel.

The reason Pei is missing in most of our pic. is she is always busy exchanging everything along the way. lol

Then we shopped and almost dropped till 5:30 PM. We have to go back to Venetian Hotel to get our luggage before catching our fly at 7:30 PM.

We almost missed our plane as Irene read the wrong number of our boarding gate........you can actually picture us four
running from gate to gate w/ Irene at the very front, Cathy is after her and me at 3rd place dragging my 2 luggage, while Pei is eating her Subway Sandwich w/ some voices teasing "run, run, run" from the airport crowd. haha.....It was so hilarious.

So those memory will be left at Vegas, and in our memory until our next girl's trip.

Special thanks to Cathy that she took a lot of pic. for us so I will be able to document this wonderful trip very thoroughly.

4/12 (Sun.) Day 2 in Vegas w/ Girl Friends!

First of all, I have to thank Irene for coordinating every one's schedule to make this dream trip happen.

On Sunday, we planned to treat ourselves to a beauty spa in Mandalay Bay Hotel. Our appointment at
The Bathhouse spa is at 1 PM. But since yesterday we stood up so late, we didn't wake up until 11 AM. However, neither Cathy nor I think we actually fell asleep as we were still so exhausted when waked up. And I am the one who slept the least but got up from the bed the first. I went to gamble alone after clubbing till 5 or 6 in the morning. Well, the time in Vegas is too luxury to stay in bed anyway. lol Pei probably slept not bad at all as I can hear she snores persistently throughout the night. haha............

We each had either Swedish or Deep-muscle massage. I recall my last massage is when I traveled back to Taiwan. My Dad took us family to Thailand and he called for two people to our room. In Thailand, most massagers' body frame are small-built but I am surprised that all of them have great strength. Needless to say, Thai massage is one of the best, you really can feel yourself being energetic again afterward. It is like all the organs, muscles, and artery inside are all relaxed by the massager's magical hands!!! Besides, the cost is way much cheaper in Thailand.

After massage, we replenished ourselves w/ mineral water and fresh fruits which is complimentary from the spa. Pei kept complaining that her massager didn't really get to the spot where she felt sore. Also, the original massager she requested didn't show up and they substituted the other massager for her. So she was so upset!!! Therefore, we girls decided to spend as much time as possible in the sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room, just so to get our money & tips worth it. We joked that it must be because
we are MOMS, and moms tend to calculate every spending microscopically. In fact, except me, Irene, Pei and Cathy spent almost 2 hr. in the steam room and sauna, they think their skin is going to be fair and tender!!!!! As for me, I really can't stand staying in the steam room for 5 mins. so I left early to gamble again.

When only girls are around, we felt that we are back to our early 20s. hehe..

Oh,my first cup of coffee!!

We are happy as there are only us using the jacuzzi.

This moment, I cannot ask for more!!!

Irene is surprised that I still can uplift my leg that high. haha.......

About an hour later, I am really bored w/ gambling all by myself so I went back to see if my gals are done. We didn't eat anything the whole day except for fruits, water, and juice from the spa. Of course, if you think coffee is some type of "food" too then I guess I absolutely being satisfied w/ my caffeine addiction already.

The whole setting in Bathhouse Sap is very contemporary.

I would say Mandalay Bay Hotel is very suitable for family w/ kids to stay. I saw so many moms or dads pushing stroller around inside the hotel. I suddenly miss my DH and 3 children so much. It situated a little away from Venetian, Ballagio, Pairs.....hotels and that's the reason we didn't stay at Mandalay Bay this time. Next year, I probably would want to take my family to Vegas again and stay there. Pei likes contemporary design very much so she also likes Wynn and Encore Hotels.

In fact, the whole Mandalay Bay Hotel is a very modern architectural design from inside.

After my gals get dressed, we plan to shop at the stores in Palazzo, Encore, Wynn Hotels, and Barnes New York. It is so much more convenient when staying close to where all the nice boutiques are. We took a cab back to our hotel and walk ourselves to the shops. You know, funny thing is that even everyone was starving but we just seem couldn't find the time to eat!!!!

Off to shop till we drop!!

Here we are in Barnes New York. They have the best selection of heels. Cathy bought a whole outfit there and she is ready for tonight's clubbing!!

We manage to look energetic for pic. but we were all so starving by the time!!

We were back in
Palazzo Hotel. Pei and I were craving for a bowl of hot noodle soup so we finally decided off to look for our first meal of the day!!! lol

People think Irene and I look like sisters!!

Pei and Irene forgot to bring their camera w/ them. So just by taking pic. for all of us is exhausting and time-consuming....haha....

Everyone looks plain, but wait till tonight!! We are going to rock again!! haa.......

We found a Japanese restaurant "
SushiSamba" in Palazzo Hotel. They serve great Japanese style calamari called Chicharron de Calamar w/ vinegar dipping sauce which we think is so special. We also had some Kobe beef they called BoBo Brazil ( it's seared kobe beef, avocado, kaiware, shiso, red onion, chimichurri) and we love it! I think all the sushi/food they served would taste really good too.

During dinner, Cathy told us she really wants to go to the show "
Chip & Dale". IF you are not so familiar what it is, it is in fact a MAN dancing show. Well, I am not so sure about it either since we never end up going. Poor Cathy, maybe next time. haha........ We finished our dinner around 9 PM and all of us are exhausted from a whole day's walking!!!!! But we have not finished our mission in Vegas, SHOP, SHOP and SHOP!!!

The food are all gone by the time we took this pic. haha...

Looking at this pic. I can't seem to remember when did Cathy take this one for us??!!

I can't remember this is inside Wynn or Encore Hotel. We girls walk around so much and I feel I got the best exercise in Vegas just by walking!!!!!

If I recall it correctly, Pei bought herself a gorgeous Chanel belt which is same design of my brooch from Paris trip and hers can even use as a necklace.

Irene bought a nice black Chanel cap which allows she look sassy even when a casual day!! An attitude is what a nice/cool hat can add to an simple outfit.

Cathy bought a simple Chanel CC logo reversible necklace from 09 s/s collection the next day!!

Everyone got herself little something from Chanel. We went to Hermes in Wynn Hotel to see if they have Birkins available. We don't like the SAs there and I think she was almost fainted when we left w/ nothing too!!!!! haha......

When we back to our hotel, it is almost 12 AM. We looked at each other silent seeming to wait for someone getting started for clubbing. We know we were tired and lack of sleep from yesterday but none of us seem to give in just yet!!

My girls instigated me to change first and see what's the style I would be. Well, I guess I could warm them up by dressing up myself then. So I started w/ my "altered vintage Dior one shoulder top". We were playing w/ our outfits, poses, doing make-ups till almost 1 AM. It is hard to believe that it was already 1:oo in the morning when we girls are ready to go!! That kind of time is usually me and my DH finish our movies at home and off to bed!!! lol

I bought this disc bronze belt from Zara in Vegas. I decided not to wear a whole set w/ this Dior dress but borrow Cathy's mini shorts-skirt instead.

This is Irene's outfit for tonight. It was a silky, golden skirt which she wore as a strapless top.

Cathy got this whole outfit from Barnes. The back of the leather vest is really sexy w/ "T" style. The black spots on her white tank top is school of fish!!!

Whenever we girls get dressed, Pei complained that she doesn't have clothes to wear neither heels to rock in. hah....... I guess we all do that when we are trying to go out everytime. Pei brought couple heels w/ her but none of them seem to be comfortable to walk in w/. She claims she is going to get rid of all her heels at home and start a new collection.

Pei wore flip flop on our way to Lavo lounge and bring the heels in that bag she was holding!!! lol

Then we girls get nauty after warming up ourselves. Irene and I were playing "Chip & Dale" girls version except we didn't strip. haha....

Someone suggested us
Lavo lounge inside Palazzo Hotel is nice and their guests average age is more mature and higher class. So we are off to Lavo lounge!!!!

The interior design is not bad when looking from the top.

No one is here at the middle floor. I am guessing those are real sinks!!

It is free entrance in Lavo lounge but they charge so expensive w/ the liquor/cocktail.

We girls took pic. at this middle floor in the lounge and ready to go home.

Cathy was so worried of getting a cold the whole trip, she almost wore or carried the most warm clothes w/ her all the time.

Irene has a very sensitive skin, this one was taken when blushing on her face finally faded away.

We had someone took pic. for us before we head back to our hotel. We cannot stop laughing when looking at this pic. Somehow we all think Cathy looks like an warrior, who came from the past.

My DH commented that she would look perfect w/ a killer black and wide-brimmed hat, better yet, a sword!!!!! haha....

Palazzo Hotel is very close to Venetian Hotel where we stayed. We took off our heels when walked ourselves back to the hotel. We enjoyed the quieter casino and shops, talked about what were the plans tomorrow and it is hard to believe it was our last day at Las Vegas!!!

Let's just call it "ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DAY IN VEGAS"!!!!!
