Winter is never been this colorful and playful!!

After painting the soffit of my kitchen green, I found myself a new color frenzy. So now I am in a phase of being crazy about green. It all starts from my sage green hairband which I intended to cover my two blisters at forehead.  { Can I say that I am Self-inspired by that? }

The color palette is sure more colorful than ever on this season's runway and I am glad that we have so many options to dress ourselves in colors in winter time!!

Yesterday I was trying a cape/poncho from J Crew but since this style is secondly marked down, they really don't have many sizes left to choose from. Therefore, I tried on size Medium and didn't like the slouchy drop around my shoulders so I passed it. {It really is a great deal of additional 30% off from current $99.}

The Herringbone pattern is nice and always a classic.

I want to complete my houndstooth Marc by Marc Jacobs green dress look with an oversized clutch. However, all I have is green one from Zara which wouldn't work in this outfit so I decided to make my own version to make it work.
 Here I hook Louis Vuitton straps onto my Givenchy studded Tinhan hobo and make the shape more squared as messenger style. ... now I love it!!

My original outfit
Past season but always classic houndstooth Marc by Marc Jacobs dress, green headband, black tights, (my new Tinhan messenger bag), Charlotte Olympia 11' velvet cat face wedge platform,  Lu Lu Frost for J Crew necklace and matching earrings, Prada s/s 11' minimalist cat eye sunglasses

 I didn't go home with empty hands.... this J Crew harvest tweed Cape Capri is a perfect playful fall pants for me.

 I actually don't have to alter the hem of this houndstooth dress as I only need to pin it in one inch to make the juxtaposition perfect!!!
{Do you think the look is very resemble to Marni's runway look?}

Be bold, be fun, be playful with your winter look.
xoxo Rachel

Still proper, Fendi leather skirt!

I worn my Fendi skirt to the city for dinner last night. San Francisco's weather is perfect for wearing leather anything.... It is almost windy all the time around the bay and I find leather is the best shield for blocking out brutal wind in the city. I even like it better than wearing a trench coat.

Over the years I acquired enough leather jackets, leather mini skirt and leather pants but I'm lacking long leather skirt in my wardrobe. Not only is the fact that a good looking long leather skirt is hard to come by but also a thought that it might be cumbersome to move around in it. Hum..... but you know what, all these uncertainty is redundant the moment I see Fendi 2015 fall/winter runway leather long skirt with pony hair. Ha~ the right moment comes with the right item, I am grabbing it. If you know which one I am talking about, you know I got myself a double-shield wind-proof skirt. lol.... As you can see I'm very into Fendi especially Monster collection at this moment. …

How Life is ... How You Respond to it?

After almost a year and a half hiatus, I am back writing my blogs again. There are a lot of memorable activities that happened and I recently moved to another house, which I can say without a doubt, is my dream house. It has a nice swimming pool, great landscapes, and a media room in the basement. I always feel unsettled at first when I move into a new place but once I have a vision of how I can make it my home, I'd start the remodel right away. You do everything you can to make yourself "comfortable" in every circumstance, right?
     I am here at Reno now. Not for skiing, not for gambling, but for my girl's volleyball tournament. A lot of you didn't know I have a daughter who's going to be 13 this year and I am so proud of her unique talents. What do we call them?  iGeneration. The most precious years of their life: teenage years. They are mostly on their own, developing their personality, their existence, and identifying their self-worth. All we paren…
