A Mood for Little Make-ups!!

We didn't take kids to see the fireworks on 4th of July.

Maybe we are just being lazy, maybe I think they already saw fireworks at Disney Land back in Feb. so I think skip this year is not big deal for them. :) I assume as long as my kids remember their big birthday parties, the moment they learn how to ride the bike, and the trip to see Tour Eiffel in Paris....etc., they know that they had a wonderful childhood! :) Well, at least I don't remember all things I did when I was a child but just a few is still vivid in my memory.

Holiday is still a holiday!! I thought dress up and a little more make-ups than usual for myself is just as wonderful as celebrating and going to watch the fireworks on scene.

I bought 2 pink shades of Bobbie Brown bronzer!! I love them and they give me great complexion for whole day.

Chic Choc eye shadow in purple and charcoal.

I am trying a new growing eyelash gel and we'll see the result in 2 month.

I applied the smashbox highlighter under my eyebrow bone, forehead, nose and above cheek bones.

A little purple eye shadow around the under eyeliner. I am not doing smoky eyes and I'd like to keep my make-ups neutral, clean and fresh!!!

Outfit on Sat.

1. TOP:
  • Zara pink tank (wore underneath so my bra won't pop out!!! lol )
  • Stella McCartney sheer sequins tank
  • Theory gold/white shrug
2. BOTTOM: United colors of Benetton harem pants
3. SHOE: Boss Orange Mary-Jane platform
  • Chanel 09 black caviar mini flap
  • Chanel 08 s/s 3 pink camellia necklace w/ gold trim
  • Chanel 07 pink velvet ribbon w/ pearl ring

This is what I tried to mimic.

The heels is not the same as I planned on Polyvore and I wish I had those instead. lol

I'm really falling in love with your Benetton pants. They look soooo comfortable and versatile. However, I do think you can carry it off b/c of your long legs. It will probably make me look short b/c of my height.

I've been seeing many sequin tops and dresses lately and I also plunged and bought a simple sleeveless dress from Zara (I couldn't resist the discounted price). It's nice to see how you are pairing it to make it work with different outfits. I'll be bringing it to Vegas to see what I can do with it.

You and your hubby are one good looking couple! I have to chuckle when I see your shorter bangs lately... it's cute, but almost not really what I would expect from you. LOL.

Hi, little bauble: thanks. I am glad that sequin top is very "high quality" as the sequins never fall off. I got thanks Isabel for sharing me about this top, she bought the same one. :) Yap my DH is finally trimmed his beard (today). He sometimes looks like Indian w/ tan and that beard. haahahahahaha.........

oops...I accidentally post twice my reply. haha...

haha...Betsy: how have you been!! Yes, the bang, oh, well, they eventually will grow back and you know, somehow I can't seem to comb all the original bang back to where they are suppose to be!! :( I mean, now I still have some long ones which belongs to the bang but I didn't cut them altogether. YOu know, have you ever notice that your hair will be softer in Taiwan (Asia) and get drier when back in USA. MINE is like that and that's why I think somehow my bang is even shortened after I but it...just dry and dull....well,...I think I will have to manage them to look nicer than this pic. hahahahahaha.... Did you have a good laugh though!???? hahahahahaha.......

oh, yap, the harem pants, you know, even I have to somehow adjust the waist band lower o.w. I will look fat at the bottom in that pants too. In fact, I think you just have to somehow adjust every clothes you wear and see which ankle, length, ..... will flatter your figure better. *<*

Yes, couple tank will be great w/ you to Vegas but I assure you will feel hot as hell. Irene (one is more tan) is back from Vegas and she said it is hot hot hot....I think you probably should take some long and light weight cardigan to block the sun and protect your skin too. Also, I think you should carry as little as possible since the sale is going on there too.......:)

Thanks for your sweet words. DH is loosing hair like hell too but I always tell him that is OK since he is married. hahah...O.W. he can do transplant in the future. hahahahah...

Hi Rachel,

I love your make-up!! You look very natural and pretty. I love how you pair your sequin top with a little shrug, I guess you are not wearing "bra" only under the stella mccartney top anymore? Oh, did you ever return your phillip lim sequined top? I actually like your shoes better than the ones on polyvore, they complement your outfit perfectly.

hey, Isabel: I thought about calling you in the afternoon but I totally knocked out in bed...I guess we had too much unplanned activities during the long weekends. :)

Thank you so much~~~, sis.!! I am glad you like it and oh, the boss mary-jane is a great buy for me as I think it goes w/ lots of things in my wardrobe. You know what, I am looking for a pair of WHITE/off white/ivory/light blue mary-jane heels but no luck. I think you have a pair of CL heels w/ that perfect whitish color....oh, I love it ever since I saw you modeled it.

Well, I guess it is great that I have something that I am hunting for instead of looking for things to buy. hehe...

Yes, I end of returning it. The sequin fell off every single time I wore kidding!!! I must say 3.1 has great design but they really need to work on their "quality". What you think?!

Oh, I forgot....only bra underneath the sequin top!? Hum...I should have wore that to Vegas...haha...and I would have placed two BIG "dumpling" inside the bra or I would wear nu-bra underneath a sexy black bra...oh...who am I kidding?!! But you know, sometimes "visual effect" is everything!!!!!! :P

This outfit is perfection. I am going off to find a look-alike shrug since I can't find the Theory one anywhere.

Hi, Liz: Thanks.

You know, you look so much alike my friend, Elfi who is an interior designer as well as jewelry designer from Austria. :)

Oh, yay, I got that shrug from couple years back so I guess it is almost impossible to find exactly same one. But, good luck and let me know if you find something similar!

Still proper, Fendi leather skirt!

I worn my Fendi skirt to the city for dinner last night. San Francisco's weather is perfect for wearing leather anything.... It is almost windy all the time around the bay and I find leather is the best shield for blocking out brutal wind in the city. I even like it better than wearing a trench coat.

Over the years I acquired enough leather jackets, leather mini skirt and leather pants but I'm lacking long leather skirt in my wardrobe. Not only is the fact that a good looking long leather skirt is hard to come by but also a thought that it might be cumbersome to move around in it. Hum..... but you know what, all these uncertainty is redundant the moment I see Fendi 2015 fall/winter runway leather long skirt with pony hair. Ha~ the right moment comes with the right item, I am grabbing it. If you know which one I am talking about, you know I got myself a double-shield wind-proof skirt. lol.... As you can see I'm very into Fendi especially Monster collection at this moment. …

How Life is ... How You Respond to it?

After almost a year and a half hiatus, I am back writing my blogs again. There are a lot of memorable activities that happened and I recently moved to another house, which I can say without a doubt, is my dream house. It has a nice swimming pool, great landscapes, and a media room in the basement. I always feel unsettled at first when I move into a new place but once I have a vision of how I can make it my home, I'd start the remodel right away. You do everything you can to make yourself "comfortable" in every circumstance, right?
I am here at Reno now. Not for skiing, not for gambling, but for my girl's volleyball tournament. A lot of you didn't know I have a daughter who's going to be 13 this year and I am so proud of her unique talents. What do we call them?  iGeneration. The most precious years of their life: teenage years. They are mostly on their own, developing their personality, their existence, and identifying their self-worth. All we paren…
