Only ME Style!!

I was talking on the phone w/ my dear friend, Isabel, the other day. She told me that I am the only person she knows that have the "highest tolerant threshold" among her friends.

What does she mean by that?

1. I have 3 young children and never had ONE single nanny's help. (Thanks to my DH and my training skill for men for sharing house chores. hah........)

2. She thinks I never get tired of dressing myself up cause' having 3 kids seems doesn't bother me at all.

3. I mix-n'-match clothes the best........ what she really means is when I get bored w/ summer clothes, I start wearing fall or winter clothes and vice versa.  And it seems I withstand any circumstance of weather condition. ^O^ ha ... ha.... ha.... Thanks to the nice weather in California!!

4. Always so energetically driving up to SF city at least ONCE a week by myself.  I must say, I feel I am suffocated living in the suburban. :P

Then, there I know myself even better!! I am a control-eccentric. I don't trust people when I can do things on my own .... (are you like me too?!!) haha.....

Weekend is always family time as I said before.

Why shop at Vintage store when you know you have clothes which you had long forgotten about!! ( I know, when you spend too much and vintage shop might be the best bargain for designer clothes.)

So, are you ready for the spring/summer 2010?
  • anything w/ military green?
  • something w/ floral accent?
  • possibility of alternating old jean skirt, shirt.....?
  • trench coat?
  • cropped pants?
  • stripes or gingham shirt or skirt?
  • white shirt, white shirt dress, white ruffle blouse or skirt?
  • .........
  • A super fit body!!?
Ok, if you are not ready just yet, let tomorrow be the first day to start!! :)

You can tell where we were today!! ... Borders bookstore!

I piled up my vintage black beads necklace w/ BR bought ivory necklace.... my own statement piece!!

My ODJ.

1. Top:
  • cream dress w/ layered skirt which I said it might be a copycat.
  • Helmut lang leather cropped jacket
2. Accessory:
  • Y3 wool hat
  • two tones croc embossed leather belt
  • Lanvin leopard happy sac 08'
  • beaded necklaces
  • Chanel two tones 09' hosiery
  • 09' fall Proenza Schouler platform cap toe pump

Ah, there Ilona is doing her funny style again.
hum..... ragga w/ monkey moves!! hahahahah......

NOW, are you ready for Valentine?!!!! :)

Have a great Monday!!

AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS necklaces!!! Love it how you have something your every own when everyone else is sporting gold-sih statement necklaces!

You're so energetic. I'm sure it's not easy to be a mom to 3 young kids, handling a house and being a great wife to your husband, which I am sure you are, all the while still being very sociable and findign time for yourself. You're an inspiration, rachel :) Keep up the good work of being the way you are!
Haha Rachel! I have everything in your list except the last item...LOL! A fit body! Hahahhahha! So am I ready for Spring? :D

Oh..Ilona is getting to be like her brother Neil with her funny poses! She learns fast!

I like your nude chiffon tunic very much. Is it the same one you wore with your H&M floral scarf? Do you know where I can buy your nude chiffon tunic/dress?

Oh, if I ever go to San Francisco, you have to tell me where to shop. I think you're an expert on that....hehe! I will ask for your advice then. :D

Have a great week!

Cheers,
Mia

I love Ilona's pose! So adorable!<3

I totally can relate to you in terms of being control-centric. I would rather do stuff myself and not depend on others because I always want things to be a certain way and can't trust anyone else to do it "perfectly" on my own terms.

Hi Rachel,

Yes, you have the highest tolerance threshold!! You serve as an inspiration to me, especially on the days I just don't want to try to look my best... Reading your blog daily gives me the motivation to look my best. Keep your blog up for your loyal fans!!!
Haha, I'm not ready for summer yet but I'm working on it:) I wish I could start summer early, but the weather here will not permit it... It just snowed some more last night!

I love the dress with the belt with the leather jacket over it. I want to get an outfit like that but I'll wait until I can have the body to rock it as you did.

The Christian louboutin mary-jane pump (from the previous post) is gorgeous! I love the color and the bargain! Luck you:)

Hope everything is going well,
Julia

Isabel must be reading all our minds! :D I often wonder to myself how you pull it off, but in the end, I think I should just stop wondering and be motivated, like you.

I'm not ready for spring/summer yet but this is definitely the time to start. I have "big plans" for my exercise regime but let's hope I keep with it and stop munching down on sweets.

The nude chiffon dress is very romantic and sexy, esp paired with your two-toned Chanel hoisery. Do you wear a pair of "safety pants" underneath though, since it's quite short? LOL.

Ilona is a sweetheart. I wanna give her a hug.

Hope you are surviving this cold and wet week. I imagine you'll be bringing out your cute London Fog rainboots.
Ah, thank you, Julia, the Thanksgiving girl. Now I want to give you a big HUG. :) You know, I always wondering myself how did Heidi klum do it....w/ the 4th kid due in Feb. ...... she must be the luckiest woman/model in the world. ...... (I don't know her at all so that's all I can say. :))
hi, Mia: thanks.

No, you can't say you are ready cause' then you don't have a reason to shop for/.... hha.... JK!!

The chiffon dress I got form Union st. in Sf city. I couldn't make out the name of the store but I think I might go back soon in the future. I will let you know later..... again, I think it is a copycat but still costs $140. :(

Sure, I am not the expert but I will tell you all I know. :)
So, Rax: What's your zodiac if you don't mind me asking? hah...

Yes, but sometimes it is just like torturing ourselves to be that kind of eccentric. haha.. But I hope you do let your BF/DH do things for you sometimes!!!!

hah...I know, Ilona is a little tom boy!!
hey, sis:
Should call you see how are you doing! Today I invite Cathy, Pei, and Yu over for play date since older kids stayed home. You know, all we could talk about is when we are going to have our girls' nite out and what can we do....my, you know, it is just too hard to accept that we are getting OLDer.... :) Right, that's something I probably couldn't tolerant. I need LASER...IPL...everything... hahah..

Oh, maybe I should ask you to correct my grammar before I post it. haha.... practice makes perfect, right!!?
Hi, Julia, I don't think I am ready either..there are still so much things I need to DO ..... alternating some clothes making them look like a brand name ones from this season. :P

Thanks, my friends love that color too and they are surprised that both heels are very sturdy!! You know, the CL heels are not all so comfortable to wear. :P
hah... I do I do, Betsy. I wore TWO security pants, black and a mini skirt... you know, you probably remember it..the electric navy color one bought at American apparel which I wore it when my kid classmate's mom commented that I look like a wonder girl. hahah...

I am glad that you exercise to keep good health. Yu and I just talk about that we should wear more stylish work-out outfit ...like middle-less so we would work extra hard for abdominal. haha..

You are right, I think I am taking out my London fog ... tomorrow?!!
Yay, hugs! :) And I think Heidi is awesome, her family is adorable too!

a side note: you looked through a lot of blogs, R.

i looked up some blogs listed on the right of your blog. most of them are full of ads. - i guess i was hoping to see personal style/fashion blogs like yours...

I'm exactly like you on insisting on doing things myself that I can do instead of having other people do it. A lot of the times, I can't trust people enough to do certain things, and even if I do trust them to, I end up going and checking to see if it's done right and properly to perfection.

I love your ODJ, especially your beaded necklaces! Also, Ilona is so cute and it looks like she's enjoying fashion as much as you do!

Also, it still baffles me how you can have such an amazing body after having 3 children. I hope that one day, when I have children, I will be able to have an amazing body like you!
haha.. Julia: thank you. I didn't look every single of them everyday ...only when something is a well editorial piece. :P Oh, yap, I assume most people do want to get some "bonus" by their hard work .....writing blog!! Me too, but that's not my intention to have a blog, you know.

Here is a cool blog to share w/ you.

Make a Wish w/ Russia Babushka doll!!

My friend, Michelle asked me about my opinion of Chanel Babushka doll's necklace once and I said "Not worth getting it"!! Now I am not so sure if I would say the same thing to this adorable babushka doll clutch!! lol However, even I want to find it, this doll clutch is probably long gone by now!! I have a real Russia Babushka doll made in Russia which is a gift from 10 years ago! I couldn't find the same one in USA since this set of 15 nesting dolls are truly intricate!! This is the biggest one which has the most exquisite engraving. Total 15 of them! (2 are missing from the pic.) I heard that you can make a wish w/ these nesting dolls. If your wish comes true, you can open one until all 15 are all open!! I never made any wish w/ them, guess I was too realistic of a person myself. I don't know if each engraved temple/castle on the dolls represents something. You can't open the smallest one which is only the size of the little finger nail. I adore those golde
