I was talking on the phone w/ my dear friend, Isabel, the other day. She told me that I am the only person she knows that have the "highest tolerant threshold" among her friends.
1. I have 3 young children and never had ONE single nanny's help. (Thanks to my DH and my training skill for men for sharing house chores. hah........)
2. She thinks I never get tired of dressing myself up cause' having 3 kids seems doesn't bother me at all.
3. I mix-n'-match clothes the best........ what she really means is when I get bored w/ summer clothes, I start wearing fall or winter clothes and vice versa. And it seems I withstand any circumstance of weather condition. ^O^ ha ... ha.... ha.... Thanks to the nice weather in California!!
4. Always so energetically driving up to SF city at least ONCE a week by myself. I must say, I feel I am suffocated living in the suburban. :P
Then, there I know myself even better!! I am a control-eccentric. I don't trust people when I can do things on my own .... (are you like me too?!!) haha.....
Weekend is always family time as I said before.
Why shop at Vintage store when you know you have clothes which you had long forgotten about!! ( I know, when you spend too much and vintage shop might be the best bargain for designer clothes.)
Have a great Monday!!
What does she mean by that?

You're so energetic. I'm sure it's not easy to be a mom to 3 young kids, handling a house and being a great wife to your husband, which I am sure you are, all the while still being very sociable and findign time for yourself. You're an inspiration, rachel :) Keep up the good work of being the way you are!
Oh..Ilona is getting to be like her brother Neil with her funny poses! She learns fast!
I like your nude chiffon tunic very much. Is it the same one you wore with your H&M floral scarf? Do you know where I can buy your nude chiffon tunic/dress?
Oh, if I ever go to San Francisco, you have to tell me where to shop. I think you're an expert on that....hehe! I will ask for your advice then. :D
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Mia
I totally can relate to you in terms of being control-centric. I would rather do stuff myself and not depend on others because I always want things to be a certain way and can't trust anyone else to do it "perfectly" on my own terms.
Yes, you have the highest tolerance threshold!! You serve as an inspiration to me, especially on the days I just don't want to try to look my best... Reading your blog daily gives me the motivation to look my best. Keep your blog up for your loyal fans!!!
I love the dress with the belt with the leather jacket over it. I want to get an outfit like that but I'll wait until I can have the body to rock it as you did.
The Christian louboutin mary-jane pump (from the previous post) is gorgeous! I love the color and the bargain! Luck you:)
Hope everything is going well,
Julia
I'm not ready for spring/summer yet but this is definitely the time to start. I have "big plans" for my exercise regime but let's hope I keep with it and stop munching down on sweets.
The nude chiffon dress is very romantic and sexy, esp paired with your two-toned Chanel hoisery. Do you wear a pair of "safety pants" underneath though, since it's quite short? LOL.
Ilona is a sweetheart. I wanna give her a hug.
Hope you are surviving this cold and wet week. I imagine you'll be bringing out your cute London Fog rainboots.
No, you can't say you are ready cause' then you don't have a reason to shop for/.... hha.... JK!!
The chiffon dress I got form Union st. in Sf city. I couldn't make out the name of the store but I think I might go back soon in the future. I will let you know later..... again, I think it is a copycat but still costs $140. :(
Sure, I am not the expert but I will tell you all I know. :)
Yes, but sometimes it is just like torturing ourselves to be that kind of eccentric. haha.. But I hope you do let your BF/DH do things for you sometimes!!!!
hah...I know, Ilona is a little tom boy!!
Should call you see how are you doing! Today I invite Cathy, Pei, and Yu over for play date since older kids stayed home. You know, all we could talk about is when we are going to have our girls' nite out and what can we do....my, you know, it is just too hard to accept that we are getting OLDer.... :) Right, that's something I probably couldn't tolerant. I need LASER...IPL...everything... hahah..
Oh, maybe I should ask you to correct my grammar before I post it. haha.... practice makes perfect, right!!?
Thanks, my friends love that color too and they are surprised that both heels are very sturdy!! You know, the CL heels are not all so comfortable to wear. :P
I am glad that you exercise to keep good health. Yu and I just talk about that we should wear more stylish work-out outfit ...like middle-less so we would work extra hard for abdominal. haha..
You are right, I think I am taking out my London fog ... tomorrow?!!
a side note: you looked through a lot of blogs, R.
i looked up some blogs listed on the right of your blog. most of them are full of ads. - i guess i was hoping to see personal style/fashion blogs like yours...
I love your ODJ, especially your beaded necklaces! Also, Ilona is so cute and it looks like she's enjoying fashion as much as you do!
Also, it still baffles me how you can have such an amazing body after having 3 children. I hope that one day, when I have children, I will be able to have an amazing body like you!
Here is a cool blog to share w/ you.
Style Bubble (google it)
Your daughter Ilona has such a fun personality!!! She's so cute. All your kids are cute :)
Nice outfit. Very romantic and chic the leather jacket and the heels add a nice touch!!'
Funny how all Borders have that rug/carpet that you can recognize hahah.
